Karkuma BioComfort

Karkuma Biocomfort is a probiotic food product specially formulated to restore gut ecology and promote a healthy digestive system. Its key ingredient is Bacillus coagulans-a Gram-positive, anaerobic, rod-shaped, spore-forming lactic acid bacterium, isolated from malt and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) certified by the USFDA for use in food products.

Bacillus coagulans helps to reduce long-term recurring gastric discomfort by surviving harsh stomach conditions and reaching the intestines. Once activated in the gut, it ferments carbohydrates to produce lactic acid, which lowers intestinal pH, suppressing harmful bacteria while promoting beneficial microbes. This process helps restore gut ecology, supports Gut–Brain harmony, and improves digestive balance. In addition, it produces enzymes that enhance digestion, increase nutrient absorption, and ease excretion. High Survival Rate: To survive unfavorable condition this bacteria can generate a spore form where, the spore coat is composed of thick double layer of Protein mainly contains Cysteine and Hydrophobic amino acid act as a physical and chemical barrier allowing the bacteria to withstand highly acidic-low pH (1-3) environment in stomach & to maintain high survival rates even after prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures which gives it a strong storage stability. A study in Japan on the stability of Bacillus coagulans SANK 70258 showed that it can reach the intestine unaffected by gastric acid or a pH of 1.2 and it maintains a survival rate of over 70% after being preserved at 37℃ for 3 years.
